Soul Healing Restಮಾದರಿ
Grace For Your Pace
Rest. Sounds dreamy, right? That quiet place away from the noise of the world where we kick up our feet and let all our cares and worries float away. Often a bubble bath or a beach brings a welcomed rest. Our exhausted bodies and minds need relief! And when we exhale slowly, it seems as if all the pent-up stress drains out.
There is a better way to find true rest other than traveling to a vacation destination. It’s the kind of rest that affords you some much needed mental space from the chaos of the world and those continual negative voices that lead you astray. To find a place of rest you must learn to draw boundaries where your cluttered mental space collides with your schedule. You must stop the assault on your mind and take some time to clear out your mental space.
It’s time to fight back and reclaim your freedom.
You are Satan’s target. He sees you as a threat to his ongoing work. He wants to engage you in a world full of distractions and busyness. If you're in a chaotic pit piled high with tasks and overwhelming projects, you will eventually drown under the weight of it all. As you’re gasping for air, the results are far more devastating.
The work of God is undone by the busyness of life and kingdom work diminishes. This pit affects your soul, affects your identity, and decision-making ability. Subtly, you are lured into a world that only appears to offer freedom, but later you become enslaved by your own choices. If this sounds like your current life, it is time to start saying “no,” thus escaping the busyness trap you’ve fallen into.
As we know, Jesus walked everywhere and never hurried. We can learn lessons from the way Jesus lived, touched people, and rested. Rest is available! When allowed, Jesus will stride into your chaos and stop your striving. Stride means “walk with long, decisive steps in a specified direction; a step forward; an advance in a specified direction.” A decisive step moves you towards positive and “good progress.” It’s interesting to note that some synonyms for stride are “bound, jump, leap, step.” There’s even a “stride stance position.” This position is to strengthen or train leg muscles in a weight bearing position.
It's time to slow down and receive grace for your pace.
