Life & Teachings of Jesus - Day 28

Jesus knew His death on the cross wasn’t the finale, that something greater was coming. He even knew his death would open up eternity to his people and that one-more-day question wouldn’t matter. Yet, we can still see a glimpse into Jesus’s priorities and his heart when we look at how he spent his last day before his arrest and the cross.

Spoiler, he spent it with His disciples. He spent it in community and breaking bread with the people he was closest to, the people who would continue his ministry. Then he ended it in prayer with his father. Jesus shows his love and desire for a real relationship with us not just in his willingness to die for us, but in his desire to spend his last few hours of freedom engaged in relationship.
