DAY 15 OF 21

Jesus and the Fig Tree

By Beth M

Today there are three instances in Jesus’ ministry that help us gain a fuller understanding of the majesty and authority of Jesus. There is much in this passage, but I want to highlight the story of the fig tree.

This passage is another teaching from Jesus about faith and prayer. The teaching highlights the power that our faith can have in situations when we believe with no doubt in God that He is able to make a way for us.

Prayer is not just a step in our Christian routine we just ‘do’ - but it has the power to change the course of our lives... if we have faith in God!

Is prayer a daily conversation you have with God?
Do you take all your petitions to God and allow him to speak to you about your situations?

Not only did Jesus encourage the disciples in their faith, but also taught them to repent during their prayer to God. Jesus teaches us that extending forgiveness to others requires openness and a humble heart from us.

Do you acknowledge the sin in your heart and repent and forgive others?

As you grow in our relationship with God, you will develop your own way of communicating with God. And the more you pray and allow your faith to grow, the more you will see God’s work in your life and the miracles He will do in your world.
