FAITH-FILLED FRIENDSHIPS

I parked my car and hopped out so quickly that I almost forgot my keys in the ignition. It seemed surreal that today I would get an opportunity to unite with one of my closest friends.

She was expecting her sixth baby, so this was definitely a sweet treat to have quality time with her. All together we have 9 children, but today we would be kid-free!

We enjoyed a yummy lunch, laughed, and shared faith-filled conversations at the most adorable restaurant. It was so nourishing to my soul to fellowship with a sister-friend who could relate to the stage of life I am in.

Mama, you deserve healthy friendships. One key I’ve learned about having healthy friendships while mothering children is that there must be much love and grace at the core of your sisterhood.

If you are in a season where you do not have a close friend, seek GOD on what spaces to enter into where other like-minded people are. I’ve met some of my dearest friends anywhere from a women’s bible study, a mommy’s group via social media, local playgrounds, workout classes, or even a conference.

Honor your friend by providing them with a gift. Write a letter, give them a call or send them a present showing your appreciation for their friendship.
