Finding Our Muchness and Inheriting Audacious Boldnessಮಾದರಿ
You Are Wise
Abigail, a woman of wisdom and discernment, exemplifies a heart attuned to God's will and a willingness to act on His behalf, even in the face of adversity. When danger threatened her household, she didn't hesitate to seek counsel and take decisive action to protect her people.
Her humility and selflessness shine through as she intercedes on behalf of her husband, Nabal, who Scripture calls a fool, and humbly approaches David, acknowledging his anointing as the chosen one of the Lord. In doing so, she aligns herself with God's purposes, refusing to be swayed by political agendas or personal gain.
As women of God, we are called to emulate Abigail's example. We have been given the ability to discern the times and perceive what God is doing in any situation. Through prayer, meditation on His Word, and listening to His Spirit, we can cultivate wisdom and understanding.
But wisdom is not just about knowledge—it's about how we live our lives. Like Abigail, we must cultivate selflessness, humility, and a listening ear. We must be willing to set aside our own desires and agendas in order to partner with God in His redemptive work.
This requires courage and sacrifice. It means standing firm in the face of opposition and challenges, allowing them to purify our hearts and deepen our dependence on God. It means being willing to speak truth to power and act boldly on behalf of the vulnerable.
In doing so, we become partners in the move of God in our generation. We become instruments of His peace, agents of His love, and vessels of His grace. So let us embrace the wisdom of Abigail and be nobody's fool. Let us walk in humility, listening for God's voice, and acting boldly in His name. For in Him, we find true wisdom and eternal purpose.
