Make Room, Giving Jesus Space to Fully Transform Your Heart and Lifeಮಾದರಿ
Make Room
CONSIDER
Time is precious. Think about it: we’ve each been given the same 24 hours each day. You have not been given more or less than anyone else.
However, how you spend your time is different than anyone else. It’s part of what makes you you. Who you are right now is largely a result of how you’ve spent each 24-hour day of your life. Who have you spent it with? What have you been doing? Where have you been?
Looking at how we spend our time is like looking deep within our hearts at what we really love and desire. This is why Jesus wants more than just your time; Jesus wants your heart.
He longs to be a priority in your 24-hour day. Being with you is why Jesus left his throne in heaven, came to earth, and sacrificed his sinless life on the cross. He will stop at nothing to be with you.
If you stop and think of how perfect and mighty Jesus is, it’s wild to think he wants to sit down and spend time with you and me. But that’s the kind of King we have. He’s knocking on the door of your heart. Will you open the door?
We have a passage to study that will show us what that means and what it looks like to fully let Jesus into our hearts and lives.
SCRIPTURE
In this Bible plan, we’re going to dive verse by verse into Revelation 3:14-22. This chapter records Jesus' words to the church of Laodicea. Most scholars compare this group of people to the Western church (that’s us) today.
As you move through the study each day, we encourage you to take your time. Grab a journal and a pen. Take notes about what God is revealing to you. You want to come out of the other side of this study differently than the way you walked into it.
Before we break the Scripture down into smaller sections, today, let’s read through the whole passage of Revelation 3:14-22.
