God and Me: Devotions from Time of Graceಮಾದರಿ
God and My Mission
Have you ever wondered why you're still here? I mean, if God has saved you, if you are now guaranteed eternal life through Jesus, why doesn't he just whisk you away to heaven?
The reason is that you are far too valuable to his plan. He has a mission for you. Just as other people helped you to hear and understand the Bible's message, so you are part of the communication network that other people need so that they can become believers too. When you speak of what God has done, it's as though God were telling the story himself. When you speak God's words of instruction for godly living, it's as though God himself were speaking directly and personally to them.
Look first within your own family, especially to the younger ones. "We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done . . . which he commanded our forefathers to teach their children, so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children" (Psalm 78:4-6).
Who are the three individuals in your life who most helped you to hear Jesus' voice? Can you think of three people in your life who need to hear about Jesus?
