Dinner With Jesusಮಾದರಿ
After leading the Hebrews out of Egypt and through the desert for nearly 40 years, Moses understood that his time leading the people and his time on earth was coming to an end. As a sort of “farewell address,” Moses gathered the people together to tell them the most important things he wanted them to remember. And what did he tell them? Not only that God is with them, but that God goes before them. In other words, nothing about their present and nothing about their future would be unknown or done in the absence of God.
Moses didn’t offer any promises about how things would turn out. Moses didn’t give platitudes about how it would all work out. Moses told them God was with them. Period. And it’s because of that, the Israelites didn’t need to be afraid or discouraged. That is what their confidence was in. And before Moses went, he wanted to make sure the people he had led for the past 40 years were putting their hope in the only thing, the only Person, who matters. How would it change you to put hope in God’s presence rather than in any outcome?

About this Plan
Some of our most meaningful memories revolve around sharing a meal. Food has a way of taking an ordinary gathering and making it memorable. That’s why it makes sense that some of Jesus’ most impactful conversations and encounters happened over a shared meal. Let's look at some of the meals Jesus shared with all sorts of different people and see what we might learn for our own time and context.
