Holy Now: How to Be Christ's Presence Where You Liveಮಾದರಿ
What are you doing with your life? What’s your purpose each day when you wake up? What are you doing with the gifts you’ve been given?
When Christ calls people to follow Him, He graces them with gifts through the Holy Spirit to build up people in their life: for the initiators, the realists, the inviters, the protectors, the wisdoms - we all need each other.
Followers of Jesus are the physical body of Christ on earth. We are the hands and heart of the Lord here and thus are given responsibilities and the ability to fulfill them.
Wherever and whenever you and another Christian are present together, whether it is to pray or play, work or worship, serve or exercise, you have opportunities and grace-full responsibility to use your gifts to bless anyone else around you.
While this could feel like an exhausting duty, which it could be if we did it in our own strength or thinking, its actually a way to experience the presence of Christ in everyday life.
Christians are in every country of the world, in every community of every nation, whether through a church or ministry or in their homes and travels. Wherever we go, we have a holy responsibility to put our gifts into practice, since we are always the body of Christ, all the time.
This holy responsibility to use our gifts is less about our own personal fulfillment or a burdensome duty; rather it’s how we participate in an awesome calling. Someday, we will all reach unity in the faith and knowledge of the Son of God, we’ll be mature and experience the fullness of the Christ who can do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine.
What would it look like for the holy and responsible people of God to be built up so that no matter what tragedy irrupted; or emergency transpired; or challenge emerged, there would be a cohort of Christians ready to serve, equipped with all the grace they need to be the hands and heart of Jesus to whoever they encounter.
There is nowhere that Christ won’t go, no one that Christ won’t be with, no distance that Christ won’t bridge to bring His healing presence, but He does that through God’s responsible people who respond to the holy calling of loving, caring and serving. Let’s be holy now, always, to the very end.
