LifeLine: Experience the Power of Prayerಮಾದರಿ

Why is Prayer So Important?
Day after day, Jesus’s disciples watched Him connect with God through prayer. After He came back from spending time with the Father, there was fresh power and clarity in His life. He knew exactly what to do and how to do it.
Prayer helped Jesus:
- Know who to do life alongside. (Luke 6:12–16)
- Understand when it was time to move forward. (Mark 1:35–39)
- Feel His Father’s compassion for people. (Luke 19:41)
- Submit His plans to God. (Luke 22:42)
- Experience the Father’s pleasure in Him as His Son. (Matthew 3:17)
These examples are just the tip of the iceberg. Would you like to enjoy the same fresh power that comes from connecting with God in prayer? I know I would. You see, prayer connects us to God, who has all power. While prayer is not the power in and of itself, prayer is the PVC pipe connecting us with God’s power. When we connect with God through prayer, power comes flowing into and through our lives!
Over the coming days, we’ll dive into the Progression of Prayer seen throughout Scripture—upward, inward, and Outward Prayer.
As you engage with God’s Word:
● What is God saying to you?
● What does it mean to you?
● What action step do you need to take?
After you reflect on these questions, bring everything to God in prayer.
