You Are the Light & Salt

Simply put, you add flavor to this world. Food without salt is bland and has no taste, but once you add salt, it changes the taste completely and it’s more enjoyable to eat. Jesus is telling you that you add to this world more than you think you do! There are people on the other side of your obedience waiting to hear your testimony and wanting someone like you in their life to help them! God didn’t just place you here with no intention of making a difference, but instead, He created you to be the difference maker!

The light of Christ in you is not supposed to be hidden. When you step into the room, people should see that there is something special about you! Those gifts God placed within you should shine through. Your kindness towards others and walking in love with others should shine through. This is something the world is not used to and since we do live in a dark world, your light shines even brighter when you are operating in your God-given calling!

Shine bright for Jesus. Don’t allow the enemy to make you feel like you have to hide your talents and who Christ has made you to be to “please others”. It’s time to be the Gospel of Jesus Christ and allow His light to flow through you to others and that in and of itself will minister to people and draw them closer to Jesus.

Prayer for today:

“Jesus, I thank You that in You I am the salt and the light. I will no longer put my head down and be ashamed of who You called me to be. I will stand up tall and know that my confidence comes from you. Lord, I ask that You use me as Your vessel to be love towards others and to draw people closer to You. I thank You Jesus for choosing me and making me a difference-maker in this dark world. I give You all of the glory for revealing this truth to me today. In Jesus’ name, amen”
