Day 5: You Are Never Alone:
I am about to write some words you need to get deep into your spirit and consistently remind yourself of. Are you ready? Underline these words, “You Are Never Alone!” Highlight these words, “You Are Never Alone!” Remind yourself over and over again and again, “You Are Never Alone!” The Holy Spirit is living on the inside of you. The Holy Spirit is always with you.
Everywhere you go, and every moment of every day and every night, the Holy Spirit is always with you. He is always waiting for you to acknowledge that He is with you. He is always waiting for you to ask Him for His help and assistance in every area and situation. He is the highest intelligence in the universe. He is the Spirit of all knowledge and wisdom. If you will follow His direction and obey His instructions, you will experience His strength, peace, and rest. As you learn to be submissive to Him in every way, you will find yourself walking in the Spirit.
Your heavenly Father sent the Holy Spirit to you at the request of your Savior Jesus Christ so that you could walk in the Spirit every day. The Holy Spirit lives in your body. Your human body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit wants to see through your eyes. He wants to hear through your ears. He wants to speak through your mouth. He wants to work through your hands. He wants to walk in your feet. He wants His thoughts to flow through your mind. He wants to burn in your heart, and He wants your human spirit to be in unity and partnership with Him continually. He wants your eyes to see things as He sees them. He wants your ears to hear His voice. He also wants you to hear things the way He hears them. He wants you to receive the things that He has planned and prepared for you.
In the Bible, the apostle Paul writes about walking in the Spirit:
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. —Galatians 5:16-26 (KJV)
Every day, you are either walking in your flesh or you are walking in the Spirit. We must be aware of this and choose to override our flesh and be determined to walk in the Spirit. The Holy Spirit knows everything. The Holy Spirit is everywhere all at the same time. The Holy Spirit is all-powerful and stronger than all our adversaries, including our flesh. Every day, all through the day, remind yourself to choose to deny your flesh and bring your flesh with all its desires and temptations into submission to the Holy Spirit living in you! You are not alone; the Holy Spirit is living in you. He will not override your will, desires, or emotions, but if you choose to ask Him for His help and then follow His direction and obey His instructions, you can walk in His Spirit and be successful and victorious. The Holy Spirit enables us to do things we would never be able to do on our own.
You can walk in the Spirit 24/7. You aren’t meant to let your flesh rule—you’re meant to walk in the Spirit and live on a higher level, where victory reigns and righteousness rules. The flesh is loud and demanding. Your flesh will scream at you and try to demand you to give in to its desires. It likes to have its way, and it sure doesn’t give up easily. It may not seem like it, but you have control over what controls you. Make up your mind not to allow your flesh to control you.
John 10:4 says that the good shepherd’s sheep follow him because they know his voice. The Holy Spirit is living inside of you, and He is always ready to speak to you. He has an answer to every problem you are facing, whether financial, health, family, marriage, etc. Regardless of what the problem may be, the Holy Spirit living in you always has the answer. Just one word from the Lord is all it takes to completely turn everything around for you. These answers are available to you as you listen closely to the voice of the Holy Spirit living in you.
