Sealed - Part 2ಮಾದರಿ
Day 5: The God Full of Desire
We all enjoy a good love story where two people desperately work to find their way back to each other. But there is a millennia-old, more exhilarating, and fabulous epic love story happening right now, and you are in it. It is the story of God's love. Jesus loves us as a Bridegroom, "a lover with all the passion of pure and real love."
Because of sin in the world, there was not a man or a woman who could know in intimacy the glory and beauty of God. Because of this intense affection, God loved the world so extravagantly and desired so deeply to be close to humans, His creation, that He became human flesh like one of us in Jesus.
Song 8:6 says that God's love is as all-encompassing as death that claims everything in the natural realm. His love does not allow any area of darkness to escape the reach of its claws.
The Father's affection and love for Jesus is the same measure of Jesus' love for us. God loves us the same way God loves God. This is incredible! This is the definitive declaration of our value to God.
"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you." John 15:9
The seal of God is compared to a flame of supernatural fire that not even the many waters of sin, pressure, or persecution cannot extinguish. God's heart is captured by His people. The definition of "captivated" is to be filled with emotions of joy and delight because of someone who is extraordinarily attractive.
"You have captivated my heart... oh, one glance of your eyes, oh, one jewel of your necklace. Beautiful is your love, my Bride! How much better is your love than wine and the fragrance of your oils than any spice!" Songs 4:9-10
In the Bible, the neck can speak of the will, resistance, or submission. Spiritually, each link in the Bride's necklace can represent each response of obedience we give to the Lord. Every decision we make out of love moves the heart of Jesus. He remembers the simple movements of love that our hearts make towards Him.
God's desire for His people is profound. The King's heart moves with each "look of devotion and love" we give Him, even though we are such weak people. No one knows our heart and our deepest desires like He does.
Jesus is fascinated by the fact that even though we don't see Him, we love Him.
My Prayer:
Everlasting Father, how can You love me this way? I have done nothing to deserve this love that reaches every space in my world. My mind is limited to comprehend how Jesus loves me the same way You love Him. Jesus is perfect, and I am not. This love is incredible! It is irresistible! And I decide again today to surrender to this love. Forgive me for despising Your zeal for me many times. Help me see that You also love the ones around me the same way You love Jesus. How great is that! Thank You for knowing my deepest thoughts and traumas. There is nothing that the cross of Jesus Your Son cannot handle. There is nothing that the blood of Jesus cannot cleanse. Your love is stronger than death. Thank You for loving me. In the name of Jesus Your Son, Amen.
