Faith & Love: A One Year Bible Reading Plan - Part 10ಮಾದರಿ
Jesus entrusted us with making new disciples. In making disciples, we might face some tribulations and suffering, but we owe the glory to God for how we survive these instances. In 2 Corinthians chapter 11, we see how Paul endured many sufferings.
From today’s verse of the day, we learn three things that impact our daily lives:
1. We must not boast.
When we look at the full chapter of 2 Corinthians Chapter 11, we see that Paul faced many trials and sufferings, and he mentioned a few. In verse 30, he says that it is better for him not to boast of how he survived these trials but rather to boast about his weakness.
2. God deserves all the Glory.
When Paul says he would rather boast about his weakness, he implies that he is not worthy of the glory of how he survived that many trials and sufferings, for Paul knows that it is God who deserves the glory. From Paul’s experience, we can see how God was always by his side, and therefore we can rest assured that when we face trials and sufferings, we can depend on God to help us through those trials.
3. God is always by my side.
From Paul’s experience, we can see how God was always by his side, and therefore we can rest assured that when we face trials and sufferings, we can depend on God to help us through those trials
What would my daily life look like if I lived by the premise that I know that God is there for me during times of trouble and suffering?
Can I see God’s glory in my past sufferings, of how he carried me through?
