Mere academic knowledge of God’s word does not impact the way you live life. It is only when the Word is received with faith that it comes alive in your situation. Many are unable to find rest in God’s promises because of doubt. The one who holds on to a few elementary promises of God in faith is better off than a Biblical scholar who lacks the faith to apply God’s promises in his life.

What do you do when you are running low on faith? You need to stop blindly trusting in worldly wisdom and choose to be guided by the Word and the Holy Spirit. Ask God to help you overcome your unbelief as you spend time worshiping Him and thanking Him for His past benefits. Then you will be able to look at this life from an eternal perspective, grounded in a living hope, finding strength and comfort in God’s precious promises.
