The Commitment

DAY 3 OF 3

The Commitment to Jesus

Our commitment to Jesus serves as the foundational bedrock for all our other commitments.

We pledge our commitment to Him, and in return, He commits to bestowing upon us the strength to fulfill all our other commitments.

We are called to wholeheartedly love Him with every fiber of our being - heart, soul, mind, and strength - and we are empowered to do so because He first loved us. Understanding His love for us makes it easier to reciprocate and commit to loving Him in return, for He is inherently lovable.

To remain committed to Jesus, we willingly surrender every moment of our lives to Him. We intentionally include Him in every aspect of our day, being constantly aware of His presence and offering Him the precious gift of our own presence in return, which He longs for.

Commitment doesn't have levels; it must be wholehearted; it must be “ALL.” The truth is that God has fully committed Himself to us. He is for us and not against us. He has promised to never leave us; He is here to stay. He desires us, and He wants us.

The fact that the maker of this universe, the King of all kings, desires a relationship with us is breathtakingly beautiful. It is unfathomable, an incomprehensible gift, yet sometimes we take it for granted.

We must prioritize seeking Him above all else, knowing that He has already found us and generously bestows upon us all things, including the fullness of Himself.

Are we committing to giving Him our entirety, to fully embrace Him in return?

It is a beautiful exchange, the most profound commitment one can make, for in committing to Jesus, we receive the incomparable and all-encompassing gift of having ALL of Him in return.
