3 Money Questions to Ask Before Getting Marriedಮಾದರಿ
Question 3 : What percentage are you currently giving?
The goal of this question is not to pry or judge, but it's really important to know where your significant other is on their giving journey and where they want to go in the future.
In the case of my wife and me, we had this unique desire from an early age that we both wanted to give away millions of dollars over our lives. It was a desire that God placed in each of our hearts.
If you're someone who would say, "I have been a tither since the day I was born, and I will be to the day I die," and then your significant other says, "I will never give money to the church," then Houston, we might have a problem.
You have to know this stuff before you get married. It's just really, really important that you have these conversations upfront.
As uncomfortable as money questions can be, let me encourage you to actually have this conversation. Trust me, it is 1,000x easier now than after you tie the knot - which is what way too many couples do. My prayer is that God would help you come into unity and that you'd start your marriage off on the right foot.
If you find this helpful, we actually put together a PDF with 11 incredibly important questions (of which you have 3) that you should ask and discuss with your partner before getting married. You can download this and print it off, if you like, and both answer the questions together. However you want to do it, this PDF will help you do that.
