Every Woman's Story: Peaceಮಾದರಿ
Why grace and peace?
Paul could have asked many things of God for this church in Rome. He could have asked for joy or patience. He could have prayed for physical needs to be met. Instead, every letter in the Bible that Paul wrote to the early church starts with grace and peace.
If there is one thing this world never offers us, it’s lasting peace or, often, grace. This world is shifting and often not safe. It can wreck us pretty quickly.
Paul knew this firsthand. He knew choosing faith over anything shiny in this world would mean letting go of what he could see and feel and taking hold of God’s promises with our hearts and minds. We need the grace to choose this and the peace to keep choosing it.
Act
Go to each of Paul’s letters in the Bible and highlight where he prays for grace and peace at the beginning of each.
Pray
God, may I always find peace in choosing your path of grace even when I can’t clearly see the outcome.

About this Plan
When life gets to be too much, we start scrambling for peace. We look for something, anything, that will stop the feeling of being overwhelmed. We often look for peace in the wrong places. It never lasts. Most of it does harm. God isn’t stingy with peace. Like a cool sip of water on a hot day, he will refresh us amid the overwhelming and the hard.
