Doubt is one of the most common experiences in human history. Almost everyone who has ever trusted in God has experienced a time of doubt and questioning. Read the story of anyone in the Bible . . . Everyone from the disciples to Queen Esther to King David had a time when they wondered if they could really trust God in their lives.

So when you feel times of doubt and questioning, it's important to remember that you're not alone. Some of the strongest and most influential believers of all time felt the exact same way. They all know what it's like to be unsure about God's faithfulness. They all had some times when they wondered if they could really trust God.

The Bible says that God is a refuge. A refuge is a place you run to when you need safety. In biblical times, it was like a strong castle where you would be safe from attacking armies. For us today, God can be a refuge from doubt. When you're struggling with seasons of questions, you can run to God with those questions. God's not going to get mad or kick us out because we have questions. We're still invited to the refuge.

We can trust God at all times — whether we're feeling full of faith or in our season of deepest doubt — because even when we feel like we're close to giving up on God, God is never going to give up on us.
