Beyond Beliefಮಾದರಿ

When things are going well, it's pretty easy to rely on God. It's kind of like using Google Maps even when you know exactly where you're going. Sure, it's nice to have the directions pulled up on your phone, but you don't really need them.

If you've ever tried getting to an unfamiliar place, you know you start relying on those directions a whole lot more. Suddenly, it's not just nice to have the directions on your phone . . . you absolutely need them there!

In the same way, we don't always really feel like we need God when our lives are simple. When things get tough and we're faced with sickness, uncertainty, doubt, or worry, we start relying on God a whole lot more. When we remember just how out of control our lives really are, we remember just how much we need God.

Now, we always need God, whether or not we feel like we do. Even when life seems easy, God is there for you, wanting to teach you, strengthen you, and help you achieve everything you were created for. A lot of times, we don't really turn to God until things get difficult. Then, we start to worry. It's been such a long time since we turned to God for help . . . What if our prayers aren't answered?

The Psalms remind us God is always with us. When times are difficult, we can trust God is right there beside us, whether things are easy or hard.
