Going Places

DAY 20 OF 28

What does it mean to fit in? It can be the chance to be included, or to simply blend into the crowd and not cause a scene. But . . . does anyone want to fit in anymore? After all, when something is trending online, we typically get swept up in all the attention that creator is getting, and may even wish we were getting the same attention.

We may not all want to fit in by blending into the crowd and not causing a scene, but at some point, we all do want to be included. Paul describes the Body of Christ as one body with many members. Here's the thing, though — no two members have the same function, or purpose. Everyone is included, but no two people are going to follow Jesus in the same way.

Think of it this way, you may be great at spending time with others and being intentional with your friendships, but have a hard time spending time with God. If you have a friend who has a daily rhythm and sets time aside to talk with God, there's a lot you can learn from them. The more you appreciate one another's way of following Jesus, there's more opportunity to grow spiritually.

Though we have our differences, they don't have to divide us when we follow Jesus together. In fact, those differences could be the very thing we need to recognize just how important it is to include everyone.

About this Plan

Going Places

Friends are the people we’ve spent countless hours with telling stories, laughing, and creating memories together. Great friendships are more than just having people to hang out with, but how do you find friends like that? How do you build the kinds of friendships that last? And what do you do if you feel like your friendships aren't everything you'd want them to be?
