Who Am Iಮಾದರಿ
After the rich, young man came to Jesus and asked what he could do to obtain eternal life, Jesus answered in a way that this man and those listening (and likely even us today) didn’t expect. He replied: “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me” (Matthew 19:21). Of course, Jesus doesn’t require us to sell all our possessions for salvation, but He knew that this man’s things were keeping him from living the great adventure. He was simply saying, “Get rid of anything standing in the way and follow me.” This man? Well, he did the opposite. He wasn’t willing to trade what he had for what he could possess in God. The prayer for us today is that we don’t make the same mistake. As we choose each day to follow Jesus with our lives, let us release what may be standing in our way—the good, the bad, and everything in between. Let us trust that if we let it go, it’s for a reason. And let us believe that, in choosing to trust Jesus with all of it, we’ll see more in return than we could’ve asked for or imagined.
Today, ask God to turn your heart away from what’s holding you back and toward His call on your life. Then, boldly follow Him!

About this Plan
How would you define what makes up your identity? Maybe you define who you are by what you do or how you perform. While all of those things may be pieces of who you are, those definitions can change. Let’s take those questions about our identity to God to see what He has to say. As we do, we’ll discover that God wants us to find our identity rooted in the firm foundation of truth—rooted in who He says we are.
