Paul: Desert Daysಮಾದರಿ
What To Do in the Desert
Life can be like a desert, dry and barren. We may find ourselves lost and without direction, wandering in the scorching heat with no end. In such moments, it can feel like God abandoned us. Even then, God is with us. He walks alongside us, giving us the strength to keep moving forward, even when we can’t take another step. We can find comfort and guidance in Scripture, where we are reminded that our ultimate goal should be glorifying God in all we do.
To navigate through the desert, we must first keep our faith. Even when we feel we’re in an endless wasteland, we must trust God’s plan for our lives. We must continue to put one foot in front of the other, even when we don’t know what lies ahead. It’s not always easy, but we can find the strength to carry on with faith.
Secondly, we must drink from the Living Water of Jesus. When we feel parched and spiritually empty, we can find sustenance and hope in His teachings and grace. Jesus is the Living Water that can quench our thirst and give us the strength to keep going. Finally, we must realize that God can use the desert and transform it to blossom fields for His glory. God can bring beauty and purpose from our struggles. He can take our pain and help us use the comfort we receive from Him to minister to others.
While the desert may leave us scars and wounds, God can use our struggles to make us stronger and more resilient. He can take our pain and turn it into a testimony of His love and grace. So when we find ourselves in the desert, we must trust that God can use our struggles for His glory. We can emerge from the desert stronger, wiser, and with a deeper understanding of God’s love and grace. We will walk through deserts. That will not change. Instead of trying to escape them, we can step back and hopefully see that the Lord is bringing about something new in our lives. He hasn’t forgotten us. He is always with us.
Take some time and think about how faithful the Lord was to Paul and how faithful He has been with you. Paul’s desert days made him into the fearless apostle he was. He didn’t live an easy life, but he had God’s grace despite any trial or suffering that came his way. How much more will God also give you His grace?
