I Believe It (The Life of Jesus)ಮಾದರಿ
Living Alert
I believe that He’s coming back again.
It’s part of our nature to try to fill in the space of what happens to us after we die. The mind has to fill in things, and we have to know otherwise; there’s angst in not knowing, and we can search for ideas and concepts to soothe that angst. I’ve often wondered if we can sometimes choose Jesus because it’s a way to fill that empty space where we don’t know what is happening. It’s not necessarily because of belief but because the filled space feels better.
If I really believe that God can turn things around, and I’m saying those words into the atmosphere, then I’m only doing so because I believe Jesus is our hope. If I say I believe in Jesus but don’t really, then it’s false hope, but if I say I believe in Jesus because it’s true that I actually believe in Him, then the space is filled with something and Someone that’s real. Investing in making our lives on earth count is important because we believe in Him.
Matthew 24:42 says, Therefore, be alert, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. When we live like Jesus is coming back again, we live alert. We engage with what matters. We care about what Jesus cares about. We become more like Him in how we love, serve, and live. Why? Because He’s coming back, and He’ll take us to be with Him forever, we want to be people so aware of that truth that it transforms the way we live now.
Throughout my life, I’ve had to check myself and ensure that I’m not just searching for a way to feel better or check the “what happens when I die” box. But I choose to believe in Jesus because I actually do believe He’s coming back again, and the story is completely true.

About this Plan
It's not just a story ... "I Believe It (The Life of Jesus)" was a song that came out of a trip I was able to take to Israel and the chance to visit the Sea of Galilee. I will never forget the tangible & incredibly real presence of God that I experienced there. The impact of that moment and the realization that we'd be lost without the miracle of God's redemption should lead us to a proclamation of what we believe. This 5 day devotional focuses on the foundations of our faith and yet reminds us not to lose the awe and wonder in God's plan of redemption.
