Finding Financial Balance: Planningಮಾದರಿ
BE THE WISE MAN
After reading Jesus' words in Matthew 7:24-27, how would you describe the wise man and foolish man in today’s language and culture? How do you see each of these types of “builders” in the world around you?
In order to withstand the storms of life, you have to have a solid foundation. That foundation is Jesus Christ. And praise God, we don’t have to guess what He wants us to do! He has graciously given us His Word. In order to know what He thinks and what He says, we must study the Bible regularly. But in order to be the wise man, we must put His word into practice. Planning is one of the ways we do this. Remember, it wasn’t raining when God told Noah to build the ark. So even if things are good for you now, it doesn’t mean the storm isn’t coming. If you are serious about wanting to start working toward financial freedom and honoring God with your money, it’s going to take a plan. What are you waiting for?!
Ask Yourself:
— In what areas of my life am I like the wise man?
— In what areas of my life am I like the foolish man?
Pause to Pray: Thank you, Lord, for your Word! Thank you for truth, wisdom, and a firm foundation on which I can build my life. Help me prepare for future storms. Help me make a good financial plan through the wisdom and direction of your Holy Spirit. Amen.
