Change Starts With Youಮಾದರಿ
Your big change may hinge on hearing my little story. And the change I need to make may hinge on me hearing yours. Your story is unique to you. No one else has what you have. No one else has experienced what you’ve experienced how you’ve experienced it. No one. I’m a middle kid. Though my brother and I both played football at the same school, we have vastly different experiences. Though we both played in the NFL, we have vastly different stories. Though we came from the same womb with the same parents, we have vastly different personalities.
Sharing your story may be the key to unlocking someone’s potential, giving them the courage to take that first step. So when you see me on set or in the city, share your story with me. I’d love to hear it.
The reason many of us refrain from making the changes we want to see in this world is that we’re afraid. We’re afraid of failure, of falling, of looking dumb. Maybe we’re even afraid of succeeding, knowing that success will bring new challenges. We’re afraid that we won’t be able to handle the pressure. I’m here to tell you that with God you are enough. If I was with you right now I’d give you a hug. I’d remind you that you’ve got nothing to prove and no one to impress. But you do have a God-given fire to follow. What if the biggest change this world needs is for you to see yourself the way God sees you? As a son or a daughter. As a king or a queen. As his child, his best work.
God sees you. He knows you. He knows your heart and is opening up doors that you couldn’t open up yourself. He knows you’re going to stumble; he knows you’re going to fall. But he also knows that you’re going to get back up, because he’s right there with you to give you strength and courage.
Prayer
Thank you, Lord, for loving me. Thank you for sacrificing for me. Thank you for giving me access to you. You are good, and you’ve given me everything I need to accomplish your will. You’ve given me Jesus. Help me to believe that you are enough. Amen.
About this Plan
Even though the brokenness of the world may seem overwhelming, anyone with the courage to follow their passion and become a light—in their homes, communities, and churches—can bring real change. And when we all embrace our God-given gifts as changemakers, a better world is within our grasp.
