Acts: Go & Be Chapters 1-9ಮಾದರಿ
What is this passage saying?
Saul was not merely a theological debater with the early Christians, he was an active persecutor. On the road to Damascus, Saul has an encounter with Jesus, after his sight is taken from him. A disciple named Ananias received a vision from God telling him that he will be the one that heals Saul. He had every right to be afraid and had heard of all the evil Saul had done to other believers. Ananias obeyed God despite all he knew of Saul. Saul becomes Paul and has an impact on the early church that we are still witnessing today. Ananias overcame his fear and was a faithful man whose obedience was in surrender to God.
What is this passage teaching?
The Gospel is for everyone, it doesn’t matter what you have done in your past. Jesus is here to save you. Saul if anyone seemed to be not deserving of Jesus’ love considering all he had done to Christians. Ananias showed up and obeyed God, helping to restore a man that God would use greatly. God is the one who did the miraculous and changed Saul’s life, but Ananias was faithful despite his fear.
How do I respond?
Don’t let fear stop you from being faithful.
