Finding the Light in Griefಮಾದರಿ
DAY 7
CEASE
It is the last day of our study this week on grief. I want to thank you again for being here with me. Grief can be difficult to understand through a Biblical lens simply because grief causes immense pain in our hearts.
This pain can leave us debilitated and ultimately shatter our faith. I hope this week has brought you some understanding of the grieving process. Both psychological and theological views of grief can help us understand this is a messy process.
This week I have prayed that you know you are not alone in your grief. Jesus is by your side, supporting you and grieving with you. I have also prayed you have found a place to meet with God. Being present with God is a powerful healing technique because, in our loss of words and understanding of our emotions, the Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf and prays over our lives according to God’s Will.
God works for the good and has purpose, but this does not mean he desires for you to feel pain and have loss in your life. Loss and grief are humanly unavoidable. God is present to give you peace so you can find a way of acceptance.
Acceptance does not mean you are done grieving. It just means you are grieving differently, in a way that is not debilitating so that you can move forward even in the loss.
We can find peace and hope as we move forward. God’s power in our lives is unmatched. He works for our good and has purpose. It is His immeasurable power that provides us hope for our future.
Revelation 21:4 says:
4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
This verse is a prophetic Word of God for things to come. Although we may have loss here on earth, there will come a day when loss will be no more. Every need we have will be met, and we will desire no more.
I pray over your life and the grief you may feel that you know you are not alone and have found a place to meet with God. Allow the Holy Spirit to intercede in your lamenting. As you walk into a new phase of grief, it is my continued prayer that the acceptance you are given provides you with hope and a future.
With God, you will find the light.
I invite you to join me on another 3 Minutes A Day Series as we look to understand other mental health topics alongside Scripture.
