Putting Your Faith Into Actionಮಾದರಿ
God is Always Faithful
Acts 16:14-15
“One of those listening was a woman from the city of Thyatira named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth. She was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul’s message. When she and the members of her household were baptized, she invited us to her home. ‘If you consider me a believer in the Lord,” she said, “come and stay at my house.’ And she persuaded us.”
God is faithful in fulfilling His promises. He is a covenant-keeping God and always provides for His followers. Putting your faith into action doesn’t have to be intimidating or scary when you can be confident that God will always protect you as you live out your calling.
God’s Faithfulness in the Old Testament
In the Old Testament, we see how God provided for the Israelites in the wilderness. He gave them manna to eat and water to drink. He protected them from their enemies and led them to the Promised Land. Although there were times when things looked grim, the Lord always provided and protected His people, even when they turned their backs on Him.
God’s Faithfulness in the New Testament
In the New Testament, we see how God provided for the disciples. He sent them out into the world to preach the Gospel and promised to always be with them. We see how He fulfilled that promise when they were persecuted and cast out of their homes. God ensured they always had food to eat and a place to sleep. One example of this is found in Acts 16:14-15 when the Lord “opened” Lydia’s heart to open her home to the disciples. God always provided a way, even when there seemed to be none.
God’s Faithfulness Today
God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and His promises are sure. We can trust Him to provide for us in our time of need, just as He provided for His followers in Biblical times. When God places a calling on your heart to put your faith into action and boldly share the Gospel, you can be confident He will be with you. If you believe God is calling you into ministry, it is time to leave everything in this world behind and follow the call.
