When I(n) Doubt

DAY 7 OF 7

Where does God actually live?

Have you ever heard the scripture that tells us that "God dwells in the praises of His people" (see Psalms 22:3)?

This verse always used to scare me a bit…I thought that God only wanted to be where really devout people gathered together, those probably "holier" than I was.

Of course, God loves it when we come together and celebrate Him for His greatness and what He's done (and will do!) for us!

But do you know what? He wouldn't go to such great lengths—sending His Son to this world to die—if He wasn't concerned with a personal relationship with you!

Paul wrote this prayer in a letter to the Ephesians: "that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith…" (Ephesians 3:17, NKJV)! Through faith, Christ wants to dwell with you. What amazing news! And you can give Him the key to your heart, by believing!

On the one hand, faith means "to believe something to be true," but it also means "to trust." Do you believe in this God who wants to dwell with you?

He really wants this relationship! Please don't let the messes in your life stop you. He will guide you through them, step by step, and even help you clean them up! God is used to seeing messes, but He's also the master of partnering with us in the cleanup. :-)

You can give Him the key to your heart today by praying a simple prayer. Shall we pray together? "God, it's amazing that You want to dwell in my heart! It's beyond my understanding. And it shows me how much You must love me! I invite You to come into my heart and change me from the inside out. May I be someone who brings You joy! In Jesus' name, amen."

When God is in your home, darkness becomes the brightest light!

You are a miracle!

About this Plan

When I(n) Doubt

The word ‘doubt’ can be a noun and a verb. It can define us and stop us from acting. Is that you today? Do you need encouragement to keep walking in faith?
