God... I'm Waiting for Youಮಾದರಿ
What does "waiting for God" really mean?
You know those days when you have so much to do and don't even know where to start? "Help! There's so much to do and so little time!"
I used to feel exactly this way before my concerts. It used to be stressful because, honestly, a million things have to happen in the background before a concert can even start!
How many times did I used to grit my teeth and say to myself, "Come on, Déborah, give it your all. Sleep is overrated. Push through!"?
It would all come together at the end of everything, but I'd be so worn out that it would take my last ounce of strength to just stand on stage! As I said to my producer many times, "It's always so stressful before the concert that when I stand on stage to sing, I'm so exhausted that I can't even enjoy the actual concert."
That was then. Praise God that's no longer the case because I've learned to choose—there it is again, that choice only we can make!—to approach situations like this differently. Isaiah says, "…no eye has seen a God like You, who works for those who wait for Him!" (Isaiah 64:4, NLT)
There's no one like our God! No one can or will help you in your overwhelming circumstances as He does. :-)
This scripture also reveals that it's important to "wait for Him." Waiting might sound negative at first, but God always means well! He will work FOR YOU while you wait!
Applying this truth to your life doesn't mean you never have to do anything again. Rather, it means you first pray and give your worries to God! Then, you do what you can with patience and faith…you TRUST that God has a solution for you right in the midst of your stressful situation.
Praying and giving God your worries means believing that HE can do a miracle each day! :-)
You are a miracle!
Déborah
