Awaken a Better Youಮಾದರಿ
Step 4: Transformation
The Gospel of John tells the story of Jesus healing a man lying near the pool at Bethesda:
One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?”
“Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.”
Then Jesus said to him,“Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. (John 5:5-9)
Transformation—the fourth step—is less a single event than it is a process you will engage in throughout your entire life. But throughout that process, you have a choice, again and again, to become well. You have a choice to move from desperation to a place of information to a place of action and application.
Transformation doesn’t have to be over the top to be real. Genuine change isn’t rooted in flashes and fireworks. It’s rooted in you, right now, just as your Creator made you. Remember, the goal is not to change who you are. The goal is to awaken a better you in every part of your life: mentally, emotionally, physically, relationally, and spiritually.
As you’re actively taking steps to transform, the positive results you see will fuel even more change. It’s important that along the way you take time together to celebrate when change happens, sharing your joy with your guides, family members, friends, and surrounding community. While growth does benefit you, it isn’t just for you. When you awaken a better you, you will influence the people and environment around you. When you move toward holistic health, you’re making the world a better place—together.
Remember, your transformation moves past you to all those around you who will also benefit from your wisdom, courage, and example. We are all stronger and better together, and the greater our individual transformation, the stronger everyone grows. Transformation creates synergy, and that synergy needs a catalyst—you. Because when you awaken a better you, we all become a better us. That’s definitely worth celebrating.
In what ways might your journey toward transformation benefit others?
