You are Precious, You are Mine

When something valuable, costly, and precious is given to you, don’t you feel proud to call it yours? When you do well in your exams, and the teacher acknowledges you in front of your classmates, doesn’t it feel great?
“They shall be Mine.” This statement is enough for us to know and realize how much God loves and wants us. If we fear God, believe in Him and walk in His ways, He will acknowledge us and proudly call us His, on the day of judgment. Isn’t that amazing?
In the Old Testament, we see that Israel was a special treasure, a special people, the inheritance of God, chosen out of all nations. So in the new covenant, we Christians, who are righteous through grace, are a special treasure of God, and in heaven, shall be His special treasure in glory, possessed by God. The ‘special treasure’ is much prized, made a great show of, protected and guarded. Such are Christians, bought at a great price by the precious blood of Jesus. Our eternity in heaven is fixed, not because of our merits, good deeds and works, but by His great mercy and because of the sacrifice Jesus made at the cross for us.
He has made us His jewels. We are His prized possessions and will be treasured in heaven. There is no better security than the security we have in Christ. Aren’t you proud to know that God will call us His own and make us His jewels, as we trust Him with our lives? We should know that we matter to God and He holds us at great value. He loves us with an everlasting love. His promises are true and unchanging. I’m already His forever! What about you?

Prayer
Jesus, help me to fear You, believe in You, obey You, do Your will and follow You always, so that I can experience eternity with You and be Yours forever. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
