How to Study the Bibleಮಾದರಿ

The Bible is a gift from God to us. It is the way that we can know Him, His attributes, what He likes and dislikes, and how to live our lives the way He desires. It is the map to our eternity, but many Believers find it hard to read, boring, or have no idea where to start. Don't worry; even the most notorious theologians have begun at this point.

I believe the most important "tip" I can give you is to invite the Holy Spirit as you read the Bible. The Holy Spirit will make the Word of God come alive to you. As you read, I would encourage you to ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom and understanding. Tell Him how much you desire to know the riches in the Word, and trust that He will help you uncover them.

Don't give up in the first stages. It can be discouraging, but begin by praying and slowly feeding yourself on chapters that are easier for you to understand. Keep doing this, and trust that He will teach you to follow Him.

Father, I pray for Your divine understanding as I read Your Word more habitually. Please help me to see the riches hidden within Your Word. I want to fall in love with You more through the Scripture. Please help me to do so in Jesus' name.
