I Speak Jesusಮಾದರಿ
"I just want to speak the name of Jesus
Over fear and all anxiety
To every soul held captive by depression
I speak Jesus"
(lyrics from the song “I Speak Jesus” by KingsPorch)
Anxiety is real. Depression is real. Fear is real. Anyone who says you need to relax and take a deep breath has never dealt with it in their own lives or families. This is also a subject that can be somewhat controversial even within the walls of Christianity. As previously discussed, we know we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, and we have a very real enemy who wants us to feel isolated and in darkness. This is true. However, what is also true is that depression and anxiety are often rooted in physiological imbalances in our bodies that various medicines can treat. This is not a study or an argument on either side. It is, however, a call to focus on and believe in God’s promises.
It is hard to rejoice in the middle of the fight, but Scripture says it twice in one verse. How is that even possible? The answer is right there. The Lord is at hand! Also, the Word does not just say, “do not be anxious,” and leaves us with no solution. The solution is also not just prayer. It’s prayer and supplication with THANKSGIVING. This is key. When we pause to be thankful for the little things and how God is faithful throughout our lives, anxiety starts to loosen its grip. Did you wake up today? Are you breathing? Where there is life, there is hope. God has given you another breath, another heartbeat, and another reason to be thankful.
It comes with a promise. God’s peace surpasses all understanding and will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. That’s why David can say in Psalm 23,
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
It’s been said that the best defense is a good offense. That is what verses 8-9 of Ephesians 4 are all about. Go on the offense against your depression and anxiety.
Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Let your mind focus on the things of Jesus. Speak His name over yourself, and the God of peace will be with you.

About this Plan
This plan is to encourage people that there is still power when we speak the name of Jesus over people. He can heal the parts of them they think are impossible. He still heals people physically. He still heals marriages. He still breaks addictions. He still frees people from anxiety and depression. There is still power in His name. Speak the name of Jesus.
