Continue in Christ

As believers and followers of Christ, we can never outgrow his teachings or example. Jesus is the pinnacle of our faith. He is God in the flesh, divinity in human form. Though many teachings benefit us, none will ever be more important than those that God gave us. God is the one who both humbles the proud and lifts up the lowly. Christ’s message is not the jumping-off point of the gospel. He is the gospel.

Let us not lose sight of the one who paid it all—the one who called us by name. He is the one who loves us eternally, purely, and without restraint. Jesus is our forever focus. He came to set the captives free, including you and me! It is for freedom that we have been brought into the kingdom of his love. In our freedom, let us remember to keep Jesus as our focus in every situation.

Christ my Lord, I refocus my attention on you. You are beautiful in all your ways. You humbly lowered yourself to the limitations of humanity, and yet you never lost the power of your divine essence. Please, teach me your ways.
