Repurposed Faith Quiet Time Challengeಮಾದರಿ
"OFF THE GRID"
Going “off the grid” is a trendy thing to do. People seem to be scrambling to get out of the rat race. Our minds and bodies are pushed to the breaking point. We run harder and faster and our souls become dry and thirsty for the Living Water that can be found only in Jesus Christ.
Christ says “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28 NASB). Yet, the urgent things of life squeeze out the most important things. We get consumed and addicted to our technological devices to the point we lose touch with those closest around us.
We laugh at commercials that show families coming to a standstill and having a major meltdown when their internet is down, but inside we know it’s not all that funny. Our faith, which requires quiet moments of meditation and reflection on Christ and His Word, slowly grows lukewarm. Thankfully, God knows our weakness. He even says when we are weak, He is strong. Take heart, and find refreshment and forgiveness in the presence of the Lord!
Today’s challenge:
• I challenge you for the next ten days not to open your email or flip to your social media feeds until after you have spent at least ten minutes in Bible meditation and prayer.
• Personalize today’s verses and pray that God would reveal new insight and truth.
• Meditate on these questions:
o What restores the soul?
o Can we depend on the Lord’s testimony and precepts?
o Where can you get wisdom?
o How can the Lord’s precepts cause your heart to rejoice?

About this Plan
When something needs to be repurposed, maybe it has lost its value or become worn and broken. People can feel that way when it comes to faith. The Repurposed Faith challenge will refresh and redirect your priorities to Christ and His Word. Short devotions will help identify the “roadblocks” that may have derailed your quiet time and you will be motivated to reconnect with God in a meaningful, intimate way.
