Can the Resurrection Change My Life?ಮಾದರಿ
We have a wonderful promise predicated on the resurrection of Jesus Christ: we are kept by the power of God.
In John chapter ten, Jesus declares that when you place your faith in Him, you are in the hand of God. You might say, “Well, what if I let go? What if I mess up and sin again?” The truth is that you are going to sin again. You still have your old nature. You should strive to sin less because you have God’s new nature, but you will never be sinless.
However, the good news is that even if you let go of the hand of God, He still has you in His all-powerful, almighty hand, and He will never let you go. You are kept by the power of God through faith. If you understand and grasp the security that you have in your salvation, it will change your life, and it is all because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Once you have received Jesus Christ by faith, you cannot lose that which God gave you that He called eternal. You are born again, and you cannot be unborn. Birth is a one-way street! God is your perfect Heavenly Father and He will never kick you out. He will never mistreat you or abuse you.
Often, people’s view of God as a Heavenly Father is skewed by their experiences with an earthly father. They think that God is out to get them, or trick and tempt them into sinning. What the word temptations in 1 Peter 1:6 means is that God allows circumstances or trials help to teach us. These lessons are not only for this life, but also for eternity.
You are going to have hardships. Things are not always going to be pleasant; you will experience heaviness of heart. But those trials can be a blessing if you understand the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Gold is incredibly beautiful and valuable, but to get it to that point, it must be refined by fire. Through the Spirit of God, Peter is telling us that the trial of our faith is much more precious than gold. Our faith will be tried with fire. We will go through these moments that God will allow, but because of the resurrection, we can be found to shine at the final appearing of Jesus Christ.
