God Is Love.

“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” 1 John‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

For our God is the definition of Love. Christ is Love manifested. John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬ declares, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

For our God selflessly gave His Son Jesus Christ to us because He first loved us. God loved us even before we had the capability to love. God loved us even before we had the capacity to love.

The Amplified Version expounds upon 1 John‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ in the following manner, “He who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love.” Christ is our “Love Benchmark.”

Romans‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬ declares, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Christ died for us. Christ died for you. While you were yet sinners, Christ died for you. While you were yet in sin, His Love pursued you.

While you were yet in darkness, His Love shined upon your heart. His Love is more powerful than your sin. His Love is more powerful than your shame. His Love is more powerful than your guilt and pain. His Love is brighter than the darkness that you face. For our God is Love, and His Love overthrows any obstacle that you face.
