The Choosing of David ಮಾದರಿ
You Are Special
You and I are like David. We are the unlikely. David was taken from the fields; God moved him to higher places. David’s brothers, the obvious choices, are everywhere. Those who are "Davids" are special. Do not be jealous, be faithful.
I am not picking on strong and tall people such as David’s brothers. There will always be someone taller than you. There is someone doing better financially than you. There is someone with more advanced skills than you. Others may know more than you. We can always look to the next lane and ask, “Lord, why did you not give me what others have?” The answer is because God has made you unique. Although others may be smarter, prettier, or stronger than you, continue to be who you are. You are special. Be faithful to God and do not allow comparison or jealousy to take over your heart.
God knew exactly where to find David. He sent Samuel to find and anoint him. God put David on the throne. We may see the outside, but God sees the heart. The key to racial reconciliation is seeing the heart. The key to not fighting all the time in your marriage is seeing the heart. The key to understanding your kids in their different stages is seeing the heart.
God sees your heart and mine. He knows what is going on inside your mind and soul. You may fake it to others, but God knows.
Amy Carmichael said this, “You can give without loving, but you can’t love without giving.” God knows that you cannot truly love without giving; therefore, let us see the heart of people and lovingly give to others.
When Jesse, father of David, sent for him, Scripture says that the Lord told Samuel to anoint him, for David was the one God had chosen as the next king. God had him ready. He knows where you are and can place you where He wants you to be. He can move you in a heartbeat. You may be miserable or dislike where you are in life right now; nonetheless, continue to be faithful in that field and expect God to determine where you are going next. You never know when your life is going to change. God found David in a field, and his life changed in a day. Trust the Lord that He wants great things for your life.

About this Plan
The obvious choice is not always God’s choice: that’s what David shows us. Just as David was an unlikely selection, so are we, but God chose us! Let’s be faithful where we are, knowing that God sees our hearts and takes us wherever He wants us to be.
