Embrace the Race: Persevering Through Challenging Timesಮಾದರಿ
Celebrate God's Victory
After fighting to maintain their freedom, Esther's people avoided annihilation and regained respect in a foreign land. In the days that followed, a grand celebration took place. The people ate, rejoiced, gave presents to one another, and gave gifts to the poor.
All around the world, Jewish people still celebrate Esther and Mordecai's victory over Haman each year. This festival is called Purim, and it is a joyful celebration commemorating Haman's defeat and God's deliverance for his people.
Celebration is a fantastic way to remember God's goodness in our lives. When we can look back at our circumstances with an attitude of thankfulness and gratefulness, we can reframe our current situation in light of God's goodness. In the same way, remembering God's goodness in our lives is the perfect antidote for discontent, discouragement, and despair. When we recall God's goodness, we also remind ourselves God is still in control and he is still at work in our lives.
Daily Challenge
Take a moment to remember the good things God has done in your life, both past, and present. Write down some of the things you have to be thankful for and give back praise to God for what he has done.
