4 Biblical Lessons From Your Garden ಮಾದರಿ
Rooted in Love
In nature, it is often said that the size of a tree or plant’s root system is equal to or larger than what you see above ground for that tree or plant. Vibrant fruit trees, berry bushes, and flowering vines all have deep, wide, and healthy root systems that feed the plant’s growth and the fruit it produces. Likewise, as we develop deep, wide, and healthy roots, our lives are vibrant, green, and full of godly fruit.
We are called to be “rooted and grounded in love” according to Ephesians 3:17. The Apostle Paul explains what this means when he says that his prayer is “...[that you may come] to know [practically, through personal experience] the love of Christ which far surpasses [mere] knowledge [without experience], that you may be filled up [throughout your being] to all the fullness of God [so that you may have the richest experience of God’s presence in your lives, completely filled and flooded with God Himself].” (Eph 3:18-19 AMP)
When our roots go down deep into a personal experience with God’s love, then fruit like His fullness, His presence, and the very nature of God Himself fills our lives. The focus of our lives is not on bearing fruit and producing the godly results we expect from ourselves, but instead focus on God’s tremendous love for you right now, in this place and time in human history. As your understanding and experience of His love grows, then the fruit in your life will abound.
