The best part about sharing with kids is how much they offer when you ask for some of their food. Maybe you've seen this with a younger sibling or cousin. You may ask, "Hey buddy, can I have some fries?" to which they enthusiastically say, "Sure!" along with half of a limp French fry. All you can really do is laugh at how generous they believe themselves to be! Over time, we eventually grow out of this stage and learn what it means to share (well, some of us anyway).
Can you imagine if God were stingy? "I'll create the ocean, but it's only gonna be a mile wide," "I'll give you sunlight, but only for two hours out of the day." Ridiculous, right? Nobody would have water, nobody would be able to grow any crops, along with so many other problems that would come as a result of God being stingy. Instead, God is the exact opposite: the heart of generosity. God gives more than we could imagine, but most times we are too busy looking to control our life circumstances to notice the ways God has been generous to us.
How can you be generous to others today?

About this Plan
“Family” is a concept understood in every country, culture, and language, but we all have unique family structures, traditions, problems, and dysfunctions. It's not always easy to love our families, but the Bible is full of guidance on how to love each other well — we just have to be willing to apply that at home. In this 20-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll discover how to do that.
