A Divine Interruption

DAY 2 OF 3

Before the earth at large was hit with this global pandemic, we all had made plans. Plans to live our best life and to enjoy it without drama, confusion and chaos. Unfortunately, for all of us, it just didn't work out that way. The world was hit with an epidemic that literally shook our religious agendas in such a catastrophic way. Even if you and I were prepared, could that have changed anything? Could that have made things better? Could we have made better changes in our lives before this violent epidemic. The reality is, plans were shifted and schedules were interrupted. Things became silent because our world had become "muzzled and masked".

A casual interruption is when someone or something stops an event from happening. But a 'Divine Interruption' is the work of grace, an invitation that makes God come down and intervene in a way that will shift and settle things on our behalf. But what exactly happens when God's interruptions are unpredictable? Isaiah 55:8 states, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways, my ways declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than yours."  The moment we've given energy on trying to figure out God, we miss the BIGGER PICTURE and that is the relevancy of 'WHY' he had to divinely interrupt our plans, schedules and agendas with his ONE ULTIMATE PLAN.

We should all confess that to some degree we're all guilty of being "control freaks". We want to control and be in control of some if not all aspects of our lives. Because we pay all the bills, or a percentage of the bills, we grocery shop for the food and cook the food, we wake up before everyone else and start our day, we're the most organized, we plan ahead, we don't procrastinate, and so forth. We have given ourselves reigns to be in control because we do not like the frustration of being interrupted.  However, when God wants to do something we've never experienced before, he will move our hand and replace it with one that is more mightier than ours.

When we see interruptions as opportunities, we can better embrace God's plan as a promise and not an obstacle.

About this Plan

A Divine Interruption

An unpredictable interruption in our lives is a divine plan by God. This kind of unwanted change can bring divine opportunities for you and I to grow and align ourselves with what has been mandated by God for our lives. This path is unpredictable, however it brings to light the purpose of why divine detours are necessary in guiding us into our destiny.
