Is God Calling Me Into Full-Time Ministry? - 7 Questions to Considerಮಾದರಿ
Day 5: How involved am I in my home church?
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” — Ephesians 2:10
When it comes to “blooming where you’re planted,” there are numerous opportunities to do so right in your home church. God has given you special gifts, talents and abilities, and He can use your experiences and personal style as well. Perhaps your call to consider full-time ministry is simply a call to become more actively engaged in the mission and ministries of your local church! Until you receive clear direction from the Lord to make a change, be sure to be faithful in the “little things” He gives you to do (see Luke 16:10).
Churches need people who will become part of the church family, who see what’s going on and humbly take part, bearing fruit as they go. It’s said that 20 percent of parishioners do 80 percent of the work; if you’re not actively engaged in your home church, what’s your best next step?
Today’s Prayer:
Father, whom do I need to talk with at church to see how I might help fulfill the mission and ministries You’ve put on our leaders’ hearts? Help me to have a healthy grasp of my gifts, talents and abilities, so that I can make my greatest contribution right where You have already placed me.
