DAY 3 OF 3

FULL OF GOD’S SPIRIT

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

All Christians should know and realize that as long as they are still in this world, they will be on a spiritual battlefield every day. Some Christians do not understand this because they rarely or even have never heard about spiritual warfare. It is unfortunate if the church and the servants of God have never taught their congregation about spiritual warfare.

The devil and angels who have fallen from heaven and became the spirits of darkness in this world have a mission to foil God's plan that aims to save all humans and let them experience His presence. The devil tries and works hard to steal our attention. He tries to distract us from the Lord. He also tries to attack God's servants so that they fall into sin and cause God's people to stumble and come out of God's presence.

Now, how can we be victorious every day in spiritual warfare? We must be full of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. The Bible says that we can overcome our flesh or sinful passion when we are led by the Holy Spirit or the Spirit of God. Our old man might indeed appear again because of the temptation of the evil one, however, we can resist the devil by the Holy Spirit. The word of God is our weapon, but this weapon will only have power or work in His power when the Holy Spirit fills us.

Things that we need to pay attention to in our lives as believers as long as we are still in this world are being on guard, thinking about the things above, and being a channel of blessing for other people. If we ask the Father to fill us with His Holy Spirit every day, we will be able to apply all of these actions in our lives and become overcomers.

We are victorious people because the Spirit of God is in us.
