Love God Greatly: In the Beginningಮಾದರಿ
After months of waiting, it was finally time for Noah and his family to leave the ark. As they left the ark God gave them the same command He gave Adam and Eve, to increase, to be fruitful, and to multiply on the earth.
The wickedness of humans had become so great, God needed to fully destroy the earth and begin again. Noah feared God, and Noah was the beginning of the new community God would establish, one that would worship Him. Noah’s sacrifice to God pleased the Lord and He promised to never again destroy the whole earth, despite the sinfulness of humanity.
We were created to praise and honor God. We were designed to bring Him glory and make His name known. Instead, we have all turned to wickedness, desiring our own glory instead of God’s. Yet, even in our rebellion, God saves us. He has showered us with mercy, not giving us what our sins deserve, and covered us with grace, giving us abundantly more than we could ever ask or think.
Unlike those who died in the flood, Noah could praise God. We have also been given the great privilege and pleasure of having access to God and the ability to praise Him. As Noah did, we can worship the Lord exactly where we are, no matter our circumstances. He alone is worthy of praise! Praise the Lord!
Prayer:
Lord, You are worthy of praise! I praise You for Your great mercy, for not treating me as my sins deserve, but allowing me to live and have a relationship with You. I am overwhelmed by Your grace that is beyond what I could image. Let my life be an outpouring of praise to You. Amen.
