Rollercoaster Faithfulness 

Have you ever been on a rollercoaster? The big kind, with lots of loops? 

Here’s what happens: You get in line, either anxious or excited or a combination of both, then are strapped in and wait in anticipation for the ride to begin. As the speed picks up adrenaline rushes through your body and without even realising it your arms and legs are flying in the air. You look like a numpty and you don’t even care. You’ve forgotten about everything else. You’re happy. 

In order to enjoy a roller coaster at some point in the process of joining the queue and getting off at the other end, you subconsciously decided the ride was safe. You placed your trust in the harness securing you in your seat. You had faith, and that faith allowed you to let go of the handrails, wave your arms around and have fun. 

The most classic cliché known to man, but so incredibly accurate: if life is a rollercoaster, Jesus is the harness. When we choose to have faith in the harness, we soar in pure joy.
