Justice

DAY 21 OF 30

WHAT DOES THE LORD WANT FROM ME?

The book of Micah deals with great Biblical themes like Justice, Peace and Messiah. What does the Lord require of me? The answer is, ”He has showed you.....what is good.” The Lord has already shown what is expected from God's people. God wants us and not something else. Firstly, to act justly is to do justice to work for the establishment of equity for all, especially for the powerless. Secondly, to love mercy is to love kindness. It means to love with a strong element of loyalty. (Hos.2:19 ”steadfast love”) Thirdly, to walk humbly is to walk with humility and carefully one's day by day life. The above verse urges us to live step by step with God, live for others, advocate for the powerless and for those who are in need.

Dear God,
Please help us to step out in faith that knowing that you are with us and will guide us to serve you with our hearts, mind and soul. We pray for humility and courage. Teach us to do justly, to walk humbly, and to love mercy. - Amen

About this Plan

Justice

My inspiration for this 30 days Devotional is from prolonged theological discourses on Justice. My burning desire is to see that the Church becomes catalyst to stop violence against the poor. I am also grateful to Organizations who work relentlessly to secure Justice for the poor.
