DAY 3—Separation
A time comes when a separation must take place.
Separate from the old.
Separate from those things that no longer have any place in this season of your life. Some things in your life were once very powerful in their own right. They have served their purpose and should have been done away with by now, but somehow, they have found their way into the newness that you’re now walking in.
How did that happen?
Sometimes we grow comfortable with things and people in our lives. In fact, we even grow comfortable with toxic people and things in our lives.
I once had a boyfriend who was so full of himself and so wounded within that he exhibited these traits in his sarcasm, in his hurtful words, hurtful behaviors, and degrading attitude toward me. I had to make the decision that he was not supposed to be a part of my present or my future. Reaching this decision took a lot of introspection and even repentance on my part. Repentance was important for me because I knew that God had more for me; even so, I had made the conscious choice to go in a different direction—a direction that wasn’t God’s first choice for me.
Making a choice to separate myself from the world’s ways and from the toxic lifestyle I had grown to find a strange comfort in was hard at first.
So as you go through this season of separating yourself, I pray for your discernment so that you may know who your enemies are and who your friends are. I pray that God will grant you the wisdom to know who He sent and who the enemy sent and what their assignment is. Often, the ones the enemy sends will look as though they are a Godsend, but if you look closer and seek God’s face about the relationship, God will reveal who and what is FOR YOU.
Separate.
2 Corinthians 6:17 says,
“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.”
What's Next: Look at your relationships. Every one has a purpose in your life, for good or for evil. Tap into your discernment and take inventory. Now remove yourself from toxic attachments that were never assigned by God.
Prophesy: I decree and declare that I walk in love toward all men and that those relationships that God has ordained for my life will be strengthened, while those relationships that are toxic, God will have the final say on. I decree that according to 2 Corinthians 6, I will separate myself unto the Lord and my relationship with Him will go to another level as I walk in obedience toward Him. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

About this Plan
We've each been there. For some, it's a daily destination, while for others it is a faraway land that seems completely out of reach in this season. No matter who you are, the place of "Surrender" is within reach. It's where you will find your victory, your purpose, and yourself. Journey with Pastor Shauna D. Harrison on a 5-day journey deeper into the heart of the Father.
